I love hiking, trekking and camping in the mountains, abandoned castles, and dense jungles. Your destination should depend on your tastes, thinking and knowledge. Thinking means where do you want to go and why? Whether you wish to relax yourself or wish to have amazing journey. Whereby, knowledge means what you know about the place, people, nature, culture, cuisine etc.
There are some basic steps you can take to make your hiking & trekking experience memorable. First, decide where you want to go and how long you want to stay out, it could for a week or for a weekend. This will help you to figure out other arrangements. Travel time will determine how many equipment’s you need to carry.
Second, strength is the most important factor when deciding on a hiking & trekking vacation. Before the trip, you should train and get ready. You should test your mental and physical strength before heading towards a trip. The right attitude and determination are the most important things when you want to go on such type of adventure trip. Seeing your ability, attitude, and determination, you can decide how much you are prepared to face challenges. Always remember that when you are trekking, hiking or mountaineering, there will be little or no transportation support to get back to the village or city. So, you are at your own. It is suggested, while making move ahead you should have an eye on small rest posts at your way during trekking or hiking or mountaineering. So, that if you feel dizzy or not able to continue further for any reason or mostly due to unpredictable weather and natural calamity, its better to call off the further journey, take a seat back and wait until the health allows you or the weather is cleared.
Trekking is completely different from hiking and campaigning. Walking a day or two-day on a pre-defined track is done under hiking however the trekking requires a forced walk and the track may or may not be defined. While trekking, nature is unfamiliar and tracks are uncertain. To be in the right direction you should carry a map and a compass to navigate. Whenever you want to trek on a new path, use what works and be realistic and don’t forget to include teammates wisely.
The trekking can be separated into three grades that are simple, moderate and tough. These levels can vary depending on the level of once fitness and determination. What one person finds easy can be difficult for another. So, simple, moderate and difficult are related principles that vary from person to person. The level of difficulty of the trekking depends on the type of terrain, altitude and distance. Likewise, the weather is another important factor. Trekking can be easy in winter but not in the summer. But it is not applicable for all treks, that all treks should be done in a given season. Some treks take place in the summer and another in the winter.
A simple trek has well-defined paths and is not very substantially challenging. Fun and relaxation are the main motives of these treks. They are close to the village or city and can come back easily if necessary. Basic food and help from villagers are readily available. Anyone who regularly travels and is fit can try a simple trek.
